Plants vs. Zombies (Angry Birds Edition) is a combination of both Plants vs. Zombies and Angry Birds. You can launch plants instead of birds, each with their own ability. Pigs are replaced by Zombies. The game was confirmed during the announcment of the partnership with Rovio and Popcap on April 17, 2013. The game was beta tested on iOS and Android devices on June 12, 2013. Beta testing ended on July 1, 2013, and there was a gap of time before being released. The game was finally released on iOS and Android devices on January 17, 2014. Shortly after, the Kindle Fire edition was released on Febuary 1, 2014 and the PC version of the game was released on March 24, 2014. After an interveiw with Rovio, the game was confirmed to be released on the Xbox 360 and the Xbox 1. The game was soon sold to GoldGames on December 1, 2014. To give the players what Rovio promised, the game was released on Xbox 360 and Xbox 1 on December 20, 2014, 5 days before Christmas. GoldGames also soon confirmed the release of the Far Future episode on January 1, 2015.

Mini-Game Mode[]

Mini-Game Mode is unlocked in the episode Pool Party. After a long time without updates, Rovio hinted the new update by saying on their Twitter page "Ready, set, PLANT! Are you ready?" on July 29, 2014. The update was offically announced when Rovio said on Twitter about the new Mini-Game Mode. The update then came out on September 9, 2014.

Puzzle Mode[]

Puzzle Mode is unlocked in the episode Foggy Skies. Rovio hinted the new update by saying "I, Zombie" on his Twitter page on August 29, 2014. Because of the release of the Mini-Game Mode not too soon after the post, it took a while for the update to be released. The update was offically released on November 17, 2014.

Survival Mode[]

Survival Mode is unlocked in the episode Dr. Zomboss's Revenge. Survival Mode wasn't hinted at all by Rovio, but was released along with Puzzle Mode on November 17, 2014. Because of players demanding more episodes for Survival Mode, GoldGames created 3 more survival episodes on Febuary 1, 2015 and another 3 on Febuary 20, 2015. When GoldGames confirmed that there were more coming, 5 new episodes were added on March 20, 2015. Not too soon after, an update came that included Survival: Endless on April 1, 2015.

Snow Pea (Costs 5,000 coins in the store. When screen is tapped, it shoots one frozen pea which freezes a zombie. After that, the ice shatters damaging the zombie)

Chomper (When screen is tapped, it eats the closest zombie or blocks)

Repeater (Costs 10,000 coins. When screen is tapped, it shoots two peas)
